# Squat on camera: reps, depth and bar speed

Film your squat on iPhone. Lift Camera counts the reps, draws a line at knee‑top height that lights up once your hip crease drops below it, and shows each rep’s bar speed.

Put the phone at hip height, about 45° off the front, with your whole body and the bar in view, and film the set from the unrack to the rerack.

## Depth line

A dashed line runs at the height of the top of your knee at the bottom of your reps. It lights up when your hip crease drops below it, and a dot under each rep shows whether it did.

## Knee and hip angles

Filmed from the side, the skeleton shows the knee and hip angles on the side facing the camera. Locking out past straight reads more than 180°.

## Bar speed

Each rep’s mean concentric velocity, in meters per second, sits above the rep on the timeline.

## Counting

Pauses, the walkout and the rerack don’t stop the recording. You can correct the rep count before you save.
